Japanese aid to revive suspended projects after debt restructuring

The head of the Japanese delegation, Dr. IzumiI Hiroto who visited Sri Lanka met President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Thursday, July 18 said that the international community’s confidence in President Wickremesinghe’s leadership is strongly reflected in the success of the debt restructuring agreements and added that it has paved the way for the resumption of Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects that are currently suspended including the Central Expressway construction, Light Railway Transit (LRT), Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Development Project, Colombo Port Eastern Terminal Development Project and the Digital Broadcasting Project.
