Kohuwala flyover to ease traffic congestion

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media Dr. Bandula Gunawardena on Wednesday, July 17 opened the flyover built at the Kohuwala junction above the Horana-Colombo main road to ease heavy traffic congestion at the Kohuwala junction. The flyover was built by the Hungarian Betonutepito company under the supervision of the Road Development Authority. The length of the flyover is 254 metres and the width is 9.4 metres. Rs. 3,599 million has been spent on this project. Parliamentarians Premnath C. Dolawatte, Yadamini Gunawardena, former Minister Sunethra Ranasinghe and Secretary to the Ministry of Transport and Highways, Engineer Ranjith Rubasinghe were also present.
