Neptune Recyclers, a enabler of recyclable waste management, won a Bronze Award in the ‘Solid Waste Recovery/Recycling’ category at the recent Presidential Environment Awards 2024.
The event organised by the Central Environment Authority was held on June 28 at the BMICH.
Managing Director of Neptune Recyclers, Abdullah Kassim, Executive Director Rizan Jaufer and, Chief Executive Officer Fazleen Majeed were present.
Abdullah Kassim said, “We are most humbled by this remarkable recognition. It is a true testament to relentless efforts put in by our management and employees, and I applaud them all for it. We remain dedicated to the sustainable growth of our nation and invite all Sri Lankans to join us in celebrating this achievement, and more importantly to help preserve our environment.”
This achievement is attributed to Neptune Recyclers’ efforts in promoting the circular economy in Sri Lanka and its unparalleled commitment towards the preservation of the environment. For over 30 years, the company has been at the forefront of giving new life to waste by transforming it into valuable products. This ensures a sustainable and responsible waste management experience for the country, he said.
