My country

Sri Lanka is my motherland. It is the pearl of the Indian Ocean. My country is a small island. Our capital city is Sri Jayewardenepura. Colombo is the commercial capital. We have a proud history and culture. There are many beautiful, important and historical places in my country. Sri Lanka is a multi-religious country.

Piduruthalagala is the highest mountain in Sri Lanka, and the Mahaweli River is the longest river. Our currency is Sri Lankan Rupees and Cents. The tallest tower called Lotus Tower (Nelum Kuluna) in Asia is in my country.

I am proud to be a Sri Lankan. I love my country.
