Ranaviru Commemoration Islamic religious ceremony organised by the Sri Lanka Air Force was held at the Kollupitiya Jumma Mosque recently under the patronage of Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa.
The welcome address was delivered by Wing Commander T.M. Sham. All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ulama General Secretary Ash Sheikh Arkam Nooramith and Ash Sheikh S.M. Sajidh Humaidi addressed the gathering in English and Sinhala.
President of the Board of Trustees A.R.M. Haroon Haji presented a memento to Air Marshal Rajapaksa on behalf of the Mosque and Commander of the Air Force presented a memento to the Trustees of the Mosque.
Imam of the Mosque Moulavi Hafil M.B.M. Rizwan conducted prayers to the War Heroes. Vice President Z.A.M. Zakwan Haji, former Vice President of the Mosque Muslim Salahudeen and members of the Board of Trustees of the Mosque were also present.
