An Esala Maha Perahera organised by Kalalella Maha Vidyalaya, Kalalella Primary School and Kalalella Tamil Vidyalaya to mark Esala Poya paraded streets in Kahawatte recently. Over 300 students took part and there were many cultural events. The principals and teachers of the schools as well as parents made the perahera colourful with their cooperation.
