The athletics team of People’s Leasing and Finance won 15 medals at the SMTFA International Masters Track and Field Championships in Singapore.
Competing against participants from 22 countries, the team showcased their talent and dedication to bag the medals and one member of the team Samantha Senaviratne competing in the 50+ category, secured second place in both the 4X100m and 4X400m relays as well as third place in the 800m.
Mohan Nanayakkara, in the 40+ category, won second place in the 110m hurdles and contributed to the team’s second place finish in the 4X100mand 4X 400m relays.
Kosala Migara, representing the 35+ category, won first place in both the long jump and triple jump, while also playing a key role in the team’s second place finish in the 4X100m relay.
Kumara Cooray, competing in the 30+ category, added to the team’s medal tally with a third place finish in both the 200m and 400m and supported the team’s success in the relays by securing third place in the 4X100m relay and first place in the 4X400m relay.
Viraj Madhusanka, also in the 30+ category, secured first place in the long jump and second place in the triple jump.
