Kumaratunga Munidasa was born on July 25, 1887. He was a writer, poet, journalist, and grammarian.
He wrote many famous books, including Heensaraya, Hathpana, Magulkema, and Kiyawana Nuwana.
All these are children’s storybooks. He wrote Sinhala literature (Sahithya) books too. Kumaratunga Munidasa was very popular in society. He was a great teacher, a principal, and a school inspector at a famous school.
He passed away on March 2, 1944.
