An art exhibition titled “Odyssey 2” featuring an impressive array of artwork created by the 2020 Group, will be on display at the ‘Karaliya’ Art Gallery, Kandy on August 9,10 and-11 from 9.30am to 7.00pm. The 2020 group is a collective of renowned Sri Lankan artists of wide experience, from different disciplines, practising distinctive styles with its members, Janaka Ratnayake, Wasantha Siriwardena, Anura Srinath, Nuwan Thenuwara, Rohan Dassenaieke, Sunil Katugampola and Gamini Abeykoon providing a platform to showcase their artistic creations to the art loving public in Sri Lanka. The exhibition aims to shift the spotlight back to representational art with sub-styles realism, impressionism and figurative art, keeping abreast of international best practices to reduce the barriers paving the way for international recognition of Sri Lankan artists.
