Football in Kandy dead

Most of the schools and clubs in Kandy are starved of football currently. This is due to the lack of guidance by the football controlling body which has failed to conduct tournaments in Kandy.

At one time Kandy had over ten football clubs but today there is none as they do not have any tournaments being conducted to play the game.
