If there is a mismatch between you and your life partner, the rest of your life will become a living hell
“Let me grow in the right soil.” Trees in Colombo are lamenting. Not well rooted unlike in forests with lush greenery, the lives of Mara trees are at risk in Colombo.
Are they destined to live in the concrete forest with sky-kissing buildings, interminable streets, black smoke from speeding vehicles under the glowing sun?
On my way home to Kolonnawa, my eyes stopped at well-grown mango trees which were felled down on the road. On seeing the latex oozing from the cut of the huge tree stumps, my heart melted and tears welled in my eyes. Never can I forget the shade and cold that those mango trees presented to us, expecting nothing in return.
However, they are no more with us. A tree is a world as well as an abode to hundreds of tiny birds, squirrels, crows and their nests with their own babies. Finally, the lesson I learned from the trees in Colombo is the fact that we have to choose the right place to plant ourselves.
No wonder that we have to undergo a sea of hardships, predicaments and difficulties as long as we are in the wrong place and on the wrong path. Your inborn skills, passions and interests can indicate the areas in which your life purpose might lie.
It is your responsibility to identify your inner skills. They can be so ingrained in your way of thinking that you become blind to them. If you are not confident of your skills, you get advice from the ones who know you very well.
Mismatch
It is common not only for your career but also for your personal life. If there is a mismatch between you and your life partner, the rest of your life will become a living hell.
According to the philosophy of Buddhism, there are seven types of husbands and wives.
The first is a wife/
a husband like a murderer.
The second is a wife/
a husband like a thief.
The third is a wife /
a husband like a boss.
The fourth is a wife /
a husband like a mother / a father.
The fifth is a wife /
a husband like a sister / a brother.
The sixth is a wife /
a husband like a friend.
The seventh is a wife /
a husband like a servant.
Speaking of your career, it is impossible to survive in the wrong place. There is no point in doing a job for the sake of doing a job. There is no need to be working for the sake of working. Personal satisfaction and motivation are needed for anyone’s personal and professional development.
For instance, if you are a creative writer, you cannot bloom like a blossom in a fast-paced environment. Freedom, tranquility and a peaceful mind will be away from your reach.
This is why you have to choose the right soil to plant yourself. Musicians are not pictured to be employed in iron factories. Not only that, when we deal with those out of our mentality and qualities, there arise a number of conflicts in any workplace. Such minor issues growing among employees can end up with controversial issues. Hence, identify your fragrance and plant yourself in the right soil.
