Shara Rishma Cassim, a student at Royal International School, Kurunegala has been recognised for her outstanding efforts at the prestigious Top 40 New Generation Asia Awards 2024.

She was awarded the Youth Campaigner of the Year in recognition of her dedicated work in addressing youth issues both locally and globally.

Shara has been actively involved in advocating youth causes since 2022, collaborating with prominent organisations such as UNICEF Sri Lanka and Slycan Trust.

Her initiatives have included representing Sri Lanka at the United Nations Youth State Conference in Perth.
