The Social and Welfare Sub-Committee of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya, Colombo Chapter offered an alms-giving to the inmates of the Paramitha Elders home, Wanawasala Road, Kelaniya recently.
This follows a decision taken by the Management Council to bestow merit to all former members and their family members who are no more and to bless the current members and their families to enjoy good health and longevity.
Dana was offered to 50 inmates, following a Dharmadeshana delivered by a Bhikkhu, the Secretary of the Association Palitha Siyambalapitiya said.
