Maris Stella College Thimbirigaskatuwa will take on St. Peter’s College in the final of the Under-17 Division Two schools cricket tournament on Monday at Thurstan ground in Colombo.
Maris Stella beat Nalanda College by seven wickets and St. Peter’s beat Royal by seven wickets in the semi-finals.
Maris Stella advanced to the pre-quarter-final being the runners-up of their group E in the first round and beat Prince of Wales College in the pre-quarter-final and Ananda College in the quarter-final. They then beat Nalanda in the semi-final.
St. Peter’s advanced to the pre-quarter-final having emerged as the champions in their group in the first round and beat Jaffna Central in the pre-quarter-final, Gamini NS Bentota in the quarter-final and Royal in the semi-final.
