Uswatte Confectionery Works (Pvt) Ltd has relaunched its potato chip brand, Chirpy Chips. The snack is manufactured using pure potato and promises 100% food value. Chirpy Chips were first introduced into the market in 1994 but was discontinued to due to Government polices at the time, that placed restrictions on the import of quality potatoes. The chips are a convenient snack option that is crafted to not only satisfy hunger but immerse consumers in the flavour of natural ingredients.

The chips are available in three flavours. The strategist and driving force behind the revival of the Chirpy Chips brand is Managing Director of Uswatte Confectionery Works. Shanura Perera. His vision is to revolutionise the local snack food market by capturing hearts of snack food enthusiasts and making Chirpy Chips the No.1 snack food choice in the country.

Chairman of Uswatte Confectionery Works Quintus Perera said, “Potato Chips are king among all categories of snack food around the world, and we are more than happy to be able to bring this beloved brand of potato chip back to Sri Lanka. “The reintroduction of the brand, provides us with an opportunity to create a premium potato chip brand, that meets international standards,” he said.
