A program to develop the technical knowledge of Sri Lanka’s motorcycle mechanics will be launched soon, said Head of Marketing of Japan’s FCIN (the parent company of FCC Clutch India), Kochi Nonaka.
He was addressing an evaluation program, ‘Retailers Meet’ of Sri Lankan sales representatives of FCC Clutch India in Colombo recently.
The three main local dealers of FCC clutches,
KAG Associates Managing Director Gamini Jayathilake, Liberty Motor Enterprises Managing Director Mohammad Rizwan Lutufi and Rock-Sea Auto Managing Director T. Thawaraja received awards.
Along with the main sales representatives, two hundred sales representatives from across the country were also present
Nonaka said that people in Sri Lanka often use motorcycles for their daily activities. Therefore, a motorcycle is an essential tool for a household. Even though Sri Lanka has faced many crises in the past few years, there is no decrease in the use of motorcycles. “We hope to pay more attention to build up the industry related to motorcycle repair, which has a great economic impact on the lives of the people,” he said. Nonaka said that motorcycle clutches manufactured by FCC India sold in Asia are environment-friendly and asbestos-free.
