No candidate is a challenge to us – Sunil Handunneththi

National People’s Power (NPP) Politburo member Sunil Handunneththi said that no candidate is a challenge to his party and that the party had been preparing for the Presidential Election since two years ago.

He said, “None of these candidates is a challenge to us. These candidates gather people from different parties who have faced various crises. But, we gather the people.” “We are with the people; others are with the thieves and that’s the specialty. The people know very well who the conmen are.

Leaders such as Sajith Premadasa who are useless and candidates such as Namal Rajapaksa who were fielded by chance are of no use to the people. People are asking for someone like Anura Dissanayake who can rebuild the country,’’ Handunneththi added.
