The 27th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka–Singapore Business Council (SLSBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce was held at the Hilton Colombo Residences recently.
Shiluka Goonawardena was re-elected as President for the 2024-2025 period. The Vice Presidents re-elected for the year include Tilak Gunawardena, Ms. Nirupa Peiris and Indhra Kaushal Rajapaksa.
The Council also welcomed the following companies to its Committee for 2024/2025: Air Global, Brown & Company, CIC Holdings, Hemas Hospitals, Just in Time Holdings, Spillburg Holdings, and Vaughan Chemicals. Prajeeth Balasubramaniam will serve as the Immediate Past President. Goonawardena said, “Last year, we had a mix of programs that I hope were of interest and use to the membership.”
Goonawardena emphasised the council’s commitment to delivering value to its members, noting plans to organise another trade delegation to Singapore and collaborate closely with the High Commission in Singapore and the Singapore Sri Lanka Business Association.’
The event also featured a presentation by Chief Executive Officer of the Advocata Institute, Dhananath Fernando.
