HNB General Insurance secures Silver Award

The HNBGI team receives the Silver Award.

HNB General Insurance (HNBGI) has earned the prestigious Silver Award at the People Development Awards 2023/24 recently.

It was hosted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD).

HNBGI stood out among a line-up of 19 companies as the sole general insurance provider to earn this recognition.

The SLITAD People Development Awards is an annual event that celebrates organisations that exemplify excellence in people development, recognising those who strategically invest in comprehensive Human Resource Development (HRD) initiatives. The awards are designed to align with global and regional best practices, honouring entities that foster growth, innovation, and continuous improvement in their HR strategies.

The evaluation process for this award was rigorous and comprehensive, focusing on multiple strategic aspects related to business, learning and development, people management, leadership and management, management effectiveness, recognition and reward. Winners were selected through independent audits conducted by senior auditors, ensuring the integrity and credibility of the evaluation process.

CEO of HNB General Insurance, Sithumina Jayasundara said, “We are honoured to receive the Silver Award at the SLITAD People Development Awards. This recognition is a testament to HNBGI’s unwavering commitment to aligning our HR processes with comprehensive staff development.
