Past pupils sports meet of Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya on September 1

The Old Dharmapalians Athletic Club is set to host the ELEVATE – PALIANS Sports Meet on September 1, 2024, starting at 9:00 AM at Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya, which proudly upholds a distinguished 85-year legacy.

Past pupils are warmly invited to participate in a day of sports and companionship.

ELEVATE will feature a range of sports and activities, with alumni competing under their respective houses—Surya, Maurya, Shakya, and Nanda. Events will include athletics (including relay races), cricket, hockey, soccer, netball, basketball, and tug of war, providing something for everyone and rekindling the competitive spirit of the Dharmapalian community.

The key goals of ELEVATE are to foster networking among past pupils and enhance the standard of athletics at Dharmapala Vidyalaya. Initiatives include, Scholarships for Athletes, Provision of Training Materials and Coaches, Infrastructure Upgrades. Proceeds from the event will go towards improving health and sanitary facilities for athletes, ensuring their well-being and performance.

The event is organized by the Past Pupils Association affiliated, Old Palians Athletic Club.

It is overseen by President Retired Major General Asoka Peiris, with Asoka de Silva and Lansatha Weeratunga as Coordinating Directors, and Jayantha Pandigamage as Project Secretary.

Past pupils of Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya,are invited to join with this event on September 1, 2024. Reunite with old friends, relive memories, and enjoy this celebratory event.
