Sri Lankan poets launch Arunella and Pehesarani in Australia

The project by Dr. Nimal Sedera of launching a Sinhala poetry compilation of migrant poets, issued its third annual publication titled “Arunella” at the community Centre at Acaciaridge in Brisbane, Australia recently.

Ayodya Galapathi, Cyril Pallegedara, Damayanthi Rupasingha , Geethani Eakanayke, Dr. Janaka Jayasooriya, Dr. Kumara Dissanayake, Ranjith Yapa, Ranjith Sirilal, Samanols Wijeratna, Shanthi Kumari Eriyagama and Dr. Nimal Sedera (the editor of the volume) contributed to “Arunella” .

“Pehesarani” by ten migrant Sri Lankan poets from Sydney and one from New Zealand will be launched in Sydney late August.

Both compilations are published by Sarasavi Publication, Nugegoda. Poets in “Pehesarani” are Champa Buddhipala, Chandra Senevirathne, Eva P. Wickramage, Mithree Panagoda, Mahesha Wijesekara, Niranjan Selvadurai, Sandya Liyanage, Vijayi Lakshmi Mohotti and Dr Nimal Sedera.

The annual publication commenced in 1922.
