‘Diva Dathata Diriyak Entrepreneurial Skills Development Program’, is a transformative collaboration between Diva and Women in Management (WIM). In celebration of the World Entrepreneurs Day, a One Day Seminar of Diva Dathata Diriyak Program was conducted by Dr. Sulochana Sigera, Chairman of WIM, at the Matale Divisional Secretariat, with the participation of over 100 Women Entrepreneurs in Central Province.
Followed by the seminar, a two-day workshop will be conducted to provide practical experience on entrepreneurial skills to further enhance the experience of women entrepreneurs. This is a part of the ongoing series of Diva Dathata Diriyak Program aimed at equipping women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in the extremely challenging entrepreneurial world.
Since its inception in 2022, ‘Diva Dathata Diriyak’ program has empowered a shift in mindset amongst women, helping them to evolve from mere producers to very successful entrepreneurs. The program covers a multitude of essential areas such as business registration, financial management, pricing strategy, consumer care, digital marketplaces, marketing, branding and packaging. By instilling these vital tools, Diva is empowering women to take control of their economic destinies, even in the face of economic challenges.
‘Diva Dathata Diriyak’ Entrepreneurial Skills Program has already seen tremendous success in several localities across the island, empowering 175 women to initiate and grow their business. The program has covered 4 provinces includingNorth Western, Northern, Southern & Uva Provinces. The Matale seminar marks the fifth iteration of this very impactful program in empowering women entrepreneurs.In making the programme accessible to a wider audience, an application calling process for the Seminar was conducted on Facebook, where any women entrepreneur interested in participating in the program could simply send a WhatsApp message, SMS or call to reserve their seat.

With 5 Diva Dathata Diriyak Entrepreneurial Skills Development Program conducted to date, Diva has successfully empowered over 275 women entrepreneurs during the past 2 years and continues to stand as a pillar of inspiration and encouragement to women entrepreneurs’ island wide.
