The Western Province (League) Netball Tournament will be conducted by the Western Province Netball Association on August 25 from 8 a.m. to 6 pm at the National Youth Services Council ground at Maharagama.
Eleven Schools that have confirmed contesting the Under-17 category are Bishop’s College, Sri Jayewardenepura MV, Gurukula College, Holy Family Bambalapitiya, Holy Family Dehiwala, Lyceum Wattala, Methodist College, Our Lady of Victories Convent, Moratuwa, Princess of Wales College Moratuwa, Samudra Devi BV and Visakha Vidyalaya.
Nine schools that have confirmed contesting the Over-17 category are Methodist College, Our Lady of Victories Convent Moratuwa, Princess of Wales Moratuwa, Visakha Vidyalaya, Bishop’s College, Sri Jayewardenepura MV, Gurukula College, Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya and Holy Family Convent Dehiwala.
The women’s club teams that will participate in the A division are Speedbirds SC, Speedmax SC, Flying Birds SC, Goal Getter SC, Ladyhawks SC, Inland Revenue SC and Familians SC.
The men’s teams in the A division are United SC and Sooriya Kirana while in the Veterans over-45 the teams in the fray are Sharks SC, Familians SC, Ladyhawks SC and Inland Revenue SC.
