The Complast & Rubexpo 2024 at the BMICH ends today. The event is organised by Smart Expos & Fairs India (Pvt) Ltd and co-organised by the Plastics and Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL), with support from the Industrial Development Board (IDB).
The key sponsors include Shibaura Machine India, SDD Polymers, Lanka IOC, FMJ Plastics, Acteil Innovative, and NCS Holdings.
The three-day event draw a gathering of over 300 industry experts and representatives from over 200 from plastics, rubber and packaging sectors. Visitors to the twin expos caught a glimpse into the latest products, technologies, and innovations in the plastics and rubber industries, and a multitude of live demonstrations of cutting-edge solutions. The exhibition offered attendees opportunities for growth and diversification, this included advice and knowledge for setting up their own plastics and rubber factories from top manufacturers and suppliers. The exhibition also emphasised the paramount importance of sustainability, particularly in the context of recycling in Sri Lanka. Attendees also had an opportunity to network with international manufacturers and explore opportunities to be their local representatives. The exhibitions also brought together suppliers and distributors, which enabled the expansion of portfolios to help meet the increasing demand for imported raw materials, finished and semi-finished goods.
