The Olympics is a sporting event held every four years. Nations all around the world participate in this event.
Duncan White won a silver medal at the 1948 Olympics, and Susanthika Jayasinghe won a silver medal at the 2000 Olympics, representing Sri Lanka. This time, the Olympics was held in Paris, France.
Anura Dharshana, Ganga Senevirathne, Tharushi Karunarathna, Kyle Abeysinghe, Viren Nettasinghe, and Dilhani Lekamge participated in the games. Sadly, they didn’t win any medals this time, but we wish our future Olympians the best of luck at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
