The Commercial Bank of Ceylon played an active role in the annual festival of the sacred Nallur Kandasamy Kovil in Jaffna recently, promoting sustainability practices, providing mobile banking services for devotees, and conducting card promotions.

The Bank engaged in a door-to-door promotion in Jaffna, Nelliady, Chunnakam, Marudhanaamadam, Atchuvely, Thirunelveli, Point Petro, Thellippalai, Manipay and Chankanai and distributed 1,500 plants, as part of its commitment to create sustainable future.

The Bank also conducted a raffle draw and presented gifts to the winners, including plants. On September 1, following the conclusion of the Chariot Festival, one of the highlights of the Nallur Festival program, the Bank’s staff from branches in the northern region conducted a clean-up of the four roads that lead to the Nallur temple, further demonstrating commitment to the environment, while connecting with the community.

Combank’s ‘Bank-on-Wheels’ mobile unit was stationed at Nallur during the festival , offering devotees and visitors access to cash withdrawal facilities. The Bank also partnered with clothing, fashion, accessories, and lifestyle products retailers, supermarkets and dining outlets in the vicinity, offering Commercial Bank credit and debit card holders discounts up to 35%.
