China-Sri Lanka Youth and Culture workshop concludes on a high note

A workshop under the China-Sri Lanka youth and cultural exchange program was held on the theme “Hi China, Hi Sri Lanka” at the National Youth Services Council auditorium in Maharagama recently.

It was jointly organised by the China Media Group and the National Youth Services Council.

The program comprised many youth activities. The Head of the Sinhala section of the China Media Group, Ms. Shi Yuya said the China Media Group promotes cultural exchanges between the youth of different countries by conducting such programs all over the world.

Chairman and Director General of the National Youth Service Council, Pasindu Gunaratne said that this program was a new experience for the young people studying at the National Youth Services Council.

A special feature of the workshop was China Media Group journalist. Jian Son Singh, popularly known as Varuni among Sri Lankan social media users, singing Sinhala songs.
