Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential candidate Namal Rajapaksa said that certain policy statements of Presidential candidates have betrayed religion and culture, and questioned whether those policies and statements are practical.

He was addressing a public rally in Puttalam. He said, “I say with responsibility that we will not allow any political or social decision to be implemented that undermines the country’s culture. We will not make any false promises that will affect the culture, to garner votes.”
