Sameera Ganegoda became the overall winner in the men’s category while Viv Fowler–Watt, emerged the overall winner in the women’s category at the September Monthly Medal golf tournament held at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) course on August 31.
This golf tournament was sponsored by Access Group in which 275 golfers competed across various divisions that witnessed outstanding performances.
Sachin de Silva demonstrated exceptional skills to become the Gross score winner in the A division with a Gross 71.
Rajeev Rajapakse obtained a nett score of 66 to secure the nett score title. The nett score runner-up was Chanaka Perera who finished closely behind with a score of 70 nett with a better back nine.
Jacob Norton displayed remarkable talent, clinching the Gross title with a score of 74 Gross in the junior division. Suhan Silva won the nett title with a score of 70 nett B/B 9.
Jacob Norton was also the nett runner-up with a score of 70 nett.
The event culminated in a grand awards presentation ceremony.
