MFA football gets underway

Six matches were conducted in the Mercantile Football Association (MFA) tournament that continued at the City Football League ground last week.

The most impressive win was registered by Hatton National Bank who routed SriLankan Airlines by four goals to nil.

Results:

Division I :– Expolanka Holdings beat Akbar Brothers 2-1; HNB Assurance beat Traveller Global 2-0 and Akbar Brothers held Sampath Bank to a 1-1 draw.
Division II – HNB beat SriLankan Airlines 4-0.
Division III – Ceyline Holdings beat Laugfs Holdings 2-1 and Commercial Bank beat Std. Chartered Bank 2-0.
