The 70th edition of the Bangkok Gem & Jewellery Fair, or ‘Bangkok Gems,’ a top tier gem and jewellery trade fair in the global marketplace concluded on Friday with over 40 Sri Lankan companies participating.
Spanning four decades and garnering major accolades, Bangkok Gems, the local participants said they gained tremendous opportunities and sales from the event and also found many orders and partners During the fair, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka, in Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe actively engaged with Sri Lankan exporters, providing them with valuable opportunities for networking and discussing future collaborations.
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Gem and Jewellery Institute of Thailand (Public Organisation) or GIT said that during the 69th Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair, in February the event exceeded expectations, with estimated orders value surpassing 3.85 billion baht and nearly 40,000 participants engaging in various activities.
