No evidence that the Rajapaksas are thieves

SLPP Presidential candidate MP Namal Rajapaksa said that leaders use the taxpayers’ money for political purposes and that Governments which tried to find the Rajapaksa’s assets found nothing.

He was addressing a rally in Naula, Matale.

Rajapaksa said that many Presidents try to come to power to apprehend thieves. “The good governance Government also came to power to catch thieves and a committee was also appointed. They all joined hands and attempted to catch thieves. We were charged in case after case and I went to court even during this election. But we were acquitted in all those cases,” he added.
