The astronomical Society of Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda, organised the Annual Night Sky Observation Camp, on August 23-24, under the patronage of the Principal, M.S.R. Irangani and Asst. Principal, Sandamali Gamage.
The event was held at the school premises, and the program was conducted by the members of the Institute of Astronomy and Space (IOAS).
The Director, Institute of Astronomy and Space, Sameera Rathnayake, was the chief guest and the Co-ordinator, Oshadhi Perera and other members of the IOAS conducted many events.
The success of the event was attributed to the tireless support of the teacher In-Charge of the Astronomical Society, K.W.M. Yasanthi Keerthirathna, and the dedicated efforts of Pathmini Liyanarachchi, R. Thamara Priyanthika, Bhadramali Wickramasinghe, Shiroma Botheju, Chandralatha and Indira Edirisinghe.
