Cambridge School of Colombo, which was established in 1999, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a successful annual walk themed “Green Steps: A journey with Nature” on September 7.
The school began on a shoestring budget with limited infrastructure, a small building, one teacher, and a few students. From this humble beginning, the school has grown remarkably in size and reputation.
The modern school now, with its varied curricula and energetic community of students and educators alike are coupled with the committed leadership of past and present principals.
Though the school completes its journey from a small initiative it also looks hopefully for the continuance of missionary zeal in shaping and successfully completing 25 years.
Students, parents, teachers and past pupils organised the event, fostering community spirit and environmental awareness.
Alongside the past principals and leaders, the current principal of Cambridge School of Colombo, O.V. Peduruarachchi is dedicated to shaping students into independent and responsible individuals who can confidently face future challenges.
