Thomians lose to Mahinda after 33 years

Mahinda College Galle recorded an outright win against S. Thomas’ College by four wickets for the first time in 33 years in their inter-school cricket match that concluded at Mount Lavinia on Friday.

The Thomians were bowled out for scores of 131 and 92 that contributed to their shock defeat.

S. Thomas’ College: 131 (Darien Diego 35, Jaden Amaraweera 31, Senuka Dangamuwa 4/41, Arosha Udayanga 3/33, Sadew Nethmina 2/25) and 92 (Mithila Charles 33, Jaden Amaraweera 23, Kaveen Rukshan 5/29, Senuka Dangamuwa 4/40)
