Saliya Kumara to coach Antonians?
Saliya Kumara who coached Isipathana College to win the President’s Trophy knock-out tournament last week is tipped to coach the rugby team of St. Anthony’s College Katugastota next season.
A final decision on his appointment is to be taken by the Antonians on Tuesday.
Lionel Perera no more
Lionel Perera former St. Sylvester’s College, and Peradeniya University cricketer has passed away in Japan and his funeral will take place today. Lionel led St. Sylvester’s College in the mid 1960s as a top all-round cricketer.
He was also a good coach and umpire.

St. Sylvester’s College have named Yoshitha Isuranga as captain and Chandupa Waduge as vice captain of their cricket team for the 2024-25 season.
