Veteran media researcher M. Sarath Kumara Perera won the Best Media Researcher of the Year award at the first Iconic Awards 2024 at the BMICH recently.
During his 30-year media career he won the UNDA Radio and Television Award (1997), Prof. Hidayo Shimzu Award (2000), Madya Suri Award of Shamabhimani National Awards (2010).
He had served as the Chief Electronic Media Researcher at MTV/MBC. He was also awarded a Gold award at his departure from the Sirasa TV station for his 25 years of service.
