The Inland Revenue Department has called upon on all taxpayers to make their final income tax payments for the Year of Assessment 2023/2024 on or before September 30, 2024.
Failure to meet this deadline may result in penalties and interest charges. The penalties and interest imposed for non-payment or late payment of income tax will not be waived off or reduced, a media release from the Inland Revenue Department stated.
It also reminded taxpayers to clear all outstanding default taxes on or before October 30, 2024. After that date, any unpaid default taxes will be subject to rigorous collection action, including legal proceedings in terms of the Inland Revenue Act.
