HNB unveils on-site Wellness Centre

HNB PLC has partnered with Lanka Hospitals to open a state-of-the-art Wellness Centre at its headquarters recently, marking a milestone in employee wellbeing initiatives within the banking sector.

HNB Acting CEO Damith Pallewatte, HNB COO Sanjay Wijemanne, HNB CHRO K. Indravasan, Lanka Hospitals Group CEO Deepthi Lokuarachchi, Lanka Hospitals Deputy CEO / Director – Medical Services, Dr. Lasantha Karunasekara, Lanka Hospitals Group, Group Chief Financial Officer M. B. G. Wickramasiri, Lanka Hospitals, Head of Laboratories, Dr. Geethani Galagoda, Senior and Corporate Management of HNB and Lanka Hospitals Medical Officers and officials were present. Acting CEO Damith Pallewatte said, “Today marks a historic milestone in HNB›s 135-year journey. We›re proud to be the first private bank in Sri Lanka to set up a state-of-the-art wellness centre within our premises, in partnership with Lanka Hospitals.

“By providing easily accessible, prompt healthcare services, we›re addressing the diverse needs of our staff demographics and ensuring their wellness isn›t compromised by lengthy medical procedures.

“This centre is more than a facility; it›s a testament to our genuine care for our HATNA family and a strategic investment in our human capital.

“As we celebrate this achievement millstone in our journey, we›re not just differentiating ourselves from other banks; we›re setting a new standard for employee care in the banking sector.
