The ‘Diva Dathata Diriyak Entrepreneurial Skills Program’ is a transformative collaboration between Diva, the flagship laundry care brand of Hemas Consumer Brands and Women in Management (WIM) to support women entrepreneurs in the island.
This program has been conducted in five provinces and empowered over 275 women to develop their businesses. The sixth edition of the program will be conducted as a one-day seminar at the Nuwaragam Palatha Central Divisional Secretariat, Anuradhapura tomorrow.
The seminar will be conducted by Chairperson, WIM, Dr. Sulochana Sigera.
Since its launch, the ‘Diva Dathata Diriyak’ entrepreneurial skills development program has women transition from producers to successful business owners.
The program equips participants with skills in business registration, financial management, pricing strategies, customer care, online marketplaces, branding, and packaging. Through these tools, Diva enables women to take control of their home economies, even in the face of economic hardships.
Senior Brand Executive, Hemas Consumer Brands, Piyumi Rajapakse said, “Diva’s dedication to the ‘Diva Dathata Diriyak’ program stems from the belief that “the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.
“This initiative serves as a source of empowerment and support for women navigating today’s economic challenges. Partnering with organisations like Women in Management (WIM) and local authorities, such as the Nuwaragam Palatha Central Divisional Secretariat, participants receive the guidance and resources they need to thrive in the entrepreneurial world,” she said.
