Golfers Ranjith Leon (left) and (Mrs) Frank de Mel (centre) won the Eagles Monsoon Cup trophy with the highest score in the men’s and women’s categories in the championship organized by the Air Force at their golf course in Trincomalee last Sunday while Wing Commander Lakmal Gunawardena and Dilini Hennayake ended as runners-up. Squadron Leader Janaka Pitawala (right) won the Eagles Monsoon Defence Challenge Trophy that was on offer for members of the tri-forces. The trophies were presented by Air Force commander Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa. Over 60 golfers contested the championship worked off under the Stableford scoring system
