The energetic Musaeus girls led from the beginning and only once did Ladies College take the lead after the fourth event. But after that it was all about the Musaeus rowing team that won the rest of the races.

The important two races were the B Fours and the A Fours races that were won in exciting finishes that had the crowds cheering for either side. Until then Musaeus led by 17 points to 15.

The narrow win in the B Fours saw them increase the lead to 25-15. But the last race gave the winners 12 points.

The winning Musaeus team in the A Fours event comprised Sithesh Sundaraja, Serumi Hewavithanage, Senindhie Mendis, Yenushka Premaratne the overall captain and Inaya Jayakody (Cox).

The winning Musaeus B Fours team comprised Hesandi Perera, Thera Caldera, Sahanya Rajapakse, Sarah Martino and Sineli de Silva who gave off their best display to pip Ladies at the post by just one foot. It was so close that only the judges could tell who won the race.
