Ace Capital CC emerged champions in the SLC Major Club U-23 cricket tournament as they posted a first innings win over Moors SC in the final played at Colts ground yesterday.
Moors SC scored 233 in their first inning as Janishka Perera made 92 with six boundaries.
Ace Capital CC replied with 317 as Sri Lanka youth caps Sasanka Nirmal (106 n.o.) and Danal Hemananda (70) put on a valuable 166 runs partnership for the ninth wicket.
Sasanka Nirmal faced 167 balls and hit nine boundaries and two sixes. Janishka Perera and Yesith Rupasinghe claimed three wickets each.
