I was privileged to attend Gateway College, Colombo where I wasmotivated to follow a career that would benefit society.

Under the tutelage of the late R.I.T. Alles, I was taught thatmy education and experience should be used to help my communityand those in need. I did my Diploma in Sri Lanka.

After obtaining two Global Awards, I was awarded a 100 percent scholarship to the University of Tasmania, where I studied a Bachelor of Laws and Arts, majoring in English and writing.

After over four years of working and studying at the University of Tasmania, I joined Tasmania Legal Aid as a Legal practitioner. I was admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania on July 29, 2024; the culmination of five years of long, hard work.

UTAS has been home to me for the past years. I began my career at UTAS working as a Future Student Consultant and then as an Associated Relationship Manager. I was privileged to have worked with future students and promote the community we pride ourselves at UTAS. I owe much to my family at UTAS, for their love, patience and nurturing me into the person I am today.

While the University of Tasmania will always hold a special place in my heart, I am excited at the prospect of beginning my legal career at Tasmania Legal Aid, as a practising lawyer.
