Founder of the Pathfinder Foundation (PF), Milinda Moragoda, presented the foundation’s ‘Study Group Report on India-Sri Lanka Physical Connectivity’ to India’s External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar during the latter’s visit to Colombo recently.
The report was launched in July at a virtual event jointly organised by the Pathfinder Foundation and the Ananta Aspen Centre of New Delhi. It provides a comprehensive blueprint for physical connectivity in the road, rail, electricity and petroleum sectors.
The ultimate goal of this initiative is to increase Sri Lanka’s annual economic growth rate to 6% through rapid economic integration between the two countries and the wider region.
Copies of this report were also presented to Indian National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, when he visited Sri Lanka. It has also been widely circulated within the international community.
