Trinity pulls out of rugby
Defending champions Trinity College have pulled out of the Sri Lanka schools under-16 tournament that concludes today at Pallekele.
A total of 32 teams entered the fray but Trinity opted to keep away citing studies are more important for their players.
Trinity won the tournament in 2022 and 2023.
Pooranawatha cricket tournament
The Pooranawatha Champions cricket tournament will be played at the Sri Rahuala College ground in Katugastota today (27). Some top teams will be seen in action and expected to produce good cricket.
Trinity inter-house hockey
Orloff House emerged champions at the Trinity Inter-House hockey tournament held at the Asgiriya Stadium recently.
Smiths House was second, Garret house third, Lemuel House fourth and CBH House fifth. In the junior event Squealery house finished on top with Suanders House second, Sahayam House third, Pilcher House fourth and Gibson fifth.
