Rugby referees in Sri Lanka will get a rare opportunity to enhance their knowledge on the art of refereeing when they come under the training of four officials from New Zealand from November 1 to 23.
Their services will be obtained by the Sri Lanka Society of Rugby Football Referees (SLSRFR) which has arranged to enlist them.
The visiting officials will train Sri Lanka referees and have sessions with clubs and school coaches and also conduct seminars with match commissioners, citing officials and judicial officials.
It has also been arranged to have two officials from New Zealand to officiate four club rugby games on November 22 and 23.
An official said that if everything goes well Sri Lanka referees will benefit immensely though this exposure. (TBR)
