Royal College emerged winners of the 53rd Rowing Regatta defeating S. Thomas’ College comprehensively by 44 points to just 8 in their annual rowing competition held at the Colombo Rowing Club waters on Beira Lake yesterday.
In the process Royal took back the TNR Fernando Trophy after a two year break.
For the record Royal lost only two races this year.
Royal won the last and important race called A Fours, by over a length and were unaware of breaking the record by only a few seconds in the whole regatta.
They won the other important races in the C Fours and B Fours and also won the old boys race. (TBR)
