Mercantile Investments & Finance PLC and Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO), two leading corporations in Sri Lanka, have forged a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 23.

This partnership marks the introduction of the “Mercantile Investments and Finance PLC / DIMO Lease Promotion,” an innovative financial solution aimed at providing attractive leasing facilities for customers purchasing Tata commercial vehicles from DIMO.

The collaboration aims to enhance financial accessibility while expanding market reach, combining DIMO’s extensive expertise in vehicle distribution with Mercantile Investments’ financial services to offer benefits to customers.

The MOU signing ceremony took place at the head office of Mercantile Investments in Kollupitiya, Colombo 3. The event was attended by key executives from both companies, including Gerard Ondaatjie, Managing Director of Mercantile Investments, Gahanath Pandithage, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DIMO, Rajeev Pandithage, Executive Director of DIMO, and Laksanda Gunawardhena, Chief Operating Officer of Mercantile Investments.

Their participation underscored the significance of this strategic collaboration in advancing the goals of both companies while delivering exceptional value to customers.

Through this leasing program, customers who opt to lease DIMO’s Tatacommercial vehicles with Mercantile Investments will gain access to a range of benefits. The promotion includes free vehicle registration and complimentary insurance.

A feature of the scheme is the waiver of the monthly rental fee if the vehicle is undergoing repairs for more than a month due to an accident.
