Aitken Spence Logistics won five awards at the SLFFA National Logistics Awards (NLA) 2024.

Organised by the Sri Lanka Logistics and Freight Forwarders Association (SLFFA), the awards ceremony was held at Shangri-La Colombo on October 23.

The chief guest was Minister Vijitha Herath and the guest of honour, Governor of the Western Province, Hanif Yusoof. The event brought together leaders from across freight forwarding, airlines, ocean carriers, Customs house brokerage, warehousing, transport, and other logistics sectors to celebrate excellence in service and accountability.

Earning the Gold in Warehousing and Distribution (Large Sub-Sector) showcased Aitken Spence Logistics’ robust capabilities in large-scale warehousing operations. With financial investments this year, including the addition of a 100,000 sqft container freight station, the company is poised to deliver optimised inventory management and efficient, multimodal supply chain solutions to meet Sri Lanka’s growing logistics demands.

The achievement of Gold in Transport emphasises its commitment to high standards across regional transport services.

Aitken Spence Logistics was honoured with the Gold for Best Application Presentation (Appreciation Award), a testament to the company’s commitment to delivering precise and comprehensive information. By providing clear, well-structured information aligned with the application requirements, the team showcased the logistics solutions offered by the company effectively and comprehensively securing recognition for excellence in presentation and detail.

The Silver award in the Container Depot category underscores Aitken Spence Logistics’ excellence in container storage and handling operations.
